College vs. Highschool.

I never thought that high school was way way easier compared to college. Oh scumbag cousin, he said that college was easier than high school.. or maybe he finally realized that it really was.

College:
  • You can't pity the professors. NO grade means NO grade. There's no more exceptions and lousy reasons  to give you special treatment.
  • You really have to study, study, and study. Manyana and procrastinating habits aren't effective.
  • Always read in advance. You never know when will the professor call your name when it comes to oral recitations.
  • Make the library as your second/third home. The atmosphere there is really conducive to learning. Mapapaaral ka talaga dun kasi kahit saan, may nag-aaral na estudyante doon.
  • You have to be independent. Wala ng "pakopya sa assignment!" You want to cheat? That can't happen. Professors have tiger eyes. They can see EVERYTHING and anything.
  • You're free to absent with or without valid reasons. As long as you don't exceed the limit of absences, you're fine, but when you've already exceeded your absences.
  • You have different schedules every semester. Just so you know, my schedule is: MF = 11am - 3pm, W = 7am - 3pm, TTH = 1pm - 7pm.

High School:
  • Teachers aren't that strict and they can be your friend and teacher at the same time.
  • You don't need to exert much effort.
  • Examinations are way easier.
  • You can pass subjects easily. Petiks mode o hindi petiks mode.
  • Garapalan ang kopyahan. Believe me. I had been there and done that.
  • I had a hard time dealing with the schedule because I'm a night person and I'm sometimes grumpy in the morning. Pahirapan magising ng maaga kasi 7am pasok mo.
  • Students are dependent to others. Magkakilala na kayo eh. Pwede ka magpagawa kay classmate A kapag tinatamad ka gumawa ng PeTa. Pwede ka kumopya kay classmate B kasi tinamad kang sumagot sa assignment.
Hay, I miss high school.

Cheers to the long weekend!

Since August 20 and 21 are holidays, our usual 2 day weekend had been extended. At last! We're given more time to relax and unwind from prelims hell week.

Last Saturday (August 18), Crista, Nicole, Aaron, and I watched the special screening of Bwakaw at UST Pay High Auditorium. It's is a film entry (which is about an old man and his dog and their journey in life) in the annual Cinemalaya Festival. The movie wasn't mainstream which is good. It is nice to watch something unique and fresh every once in a way while. We also got the chance to meet Jun Luna, the director, who is really inspiring. He's an UST AB CA alumnus. I remember the advice that he gave to us which is like this, "You really have to be passionate in chasing your dreams."
After watching Bwakaw, we waited for Sairra to finish her assignment then went to SM San Lazaro to eat snacks/early dinner while Gil was at UST waiting for us. :)

Hmm. Last Sunday, Ninang and Ninong stayed at home then Ninang, Mom, and I went to Quiapo to finish off some errands.

Last Monday, it was Ate Rachelle's debut held at Oasis! :) Thank you again ate. ♥

Introduction.

Chubby, jolly, fickle-minded, and unpredictable, that's what I always think about myself. My name is Lydelle Mae Garcia Saringan Agaton. I was born on February 16, 1996, in Dagupan, Pangasinan. After 4 years, we (me and my parents) moved to Quezon City to live an urban life.

..Fast forward.. I graduated from primary school at Saint Claire School then graduated secondary school at University of Santo Tomas Education High School. I am currently in my first year of college taking up AB Communication Arts at University of Santo Tomas.

This is my online diary and I'd like to share it to the virtual world. ;)
